beyond the sunshine and rainbows.

When Effy awoke she was under Dez. It was a little odd, but comforting none the less. If she didn't suffocate. He'd gone to sleep while having a go at her. She blinked. His body was warm and he was breathing. She squinted hard then, pushing him off her. He barely budged just to notice he had a mid-day hard on.

"Babe, I need to finish up." He just said and with that it was back to a nudge and a push and pull, until it was done. Sort of old news. Sort of, but still, well, it might have been good for her too. Even though, she wouldn't dare admit it. Just maybe he was the one, she could have more than a laugh with.

He finally showered and she tried her cell one more. Just to text Emily a message that she'd lost Pandora.

"Whats that about?" Dez looked at her puzzled. "Not like I took you anywhere, against your will."

"Yeah, I know." She looked at him out of the corner of her eye. "Its just." She sighed. "My friend, the cow, remember? I don't know where she is."

"I'm sure sh'se fine." Dez shrugged. He touched her lanky waist and drew her in. "You shouldn't worry." He smiled and gave her a kiss.

"I wouldn't, but she's gonna have a kid." Effy winced.

Dez nodded as if he should have known that.

"Are you hungry?" He then asked.

"Guess." It was hard to say what she really liked to eat anymore.

"Lets go eat, wonder around a bit. Maybe this cow of yours will show." He took her hand.

"She has a name, you know." Effy informed him.

"This Pandy bear of yours." He looked at her a bit silly and kissed her cheek.

"She's not a pandy bear." Effy complained as he pulled her along.

"Whatever you say, babe, whatever you say." Dez looked back at her smiling. But she knew she'd do whatever he asked. He was just too good to be true. Who cared if he could be a arse, sometimes.
